indonesiaAbstract
This study aims to analyze the development strategies of broiler chicken farming businesses in increasing farmers' income from the perspective of Islamic economics. The background of this research is based on the importance of developing broiler chicken farming as one of the agribusiness sectors that has the potential to contribute significantly to the community's economy, particularly in improving the welfare of farmers. However, in practice, business development strategies should not only focus on profit but also consider the principles of Islamic economics such as good intention, honesty, trustworthiness (amanah), justice, and being free from elements of riba (usury), gharar (uncertainty), and maysir (speculation).
The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with broiler chicken farmers in Tugu Village, Buayan Subdistrict, Kebumen Regency,, as well as document analysis and field observations. The results of the study show that most farmers have implemented development strategies through improving production quality, financial management, and partnership cooperation. From the perspective of Islamic economics, it was found that values such as honesty, sincere intentions, and avoidance of riba have begun to be implemented in business activities, although not yet optimally.
The conclusion of this study is that the development strategies of broiler chicken farming businesses can contribute to increasing farmers' income if carried out sustainably and in accordance with Islamic economic principles. Therefore, continuous guidance is needed so that livestock business actors can apply strategies that are not only economically productive but also aligned with Sharia values.
