ABSTRACT
Based on AB-STOTS data, the number of sharia investors will increase by 240% in 2020-2024. IDX uses DES as a guideline for investors in choosing stocks that are in accordance with sharia principles. In terms of profit maximization, investors need to equip themselves with knowledge of technical analysis to see stock price movements with the help of technical analysis indicators. This study uses the MA, MACD, and Stochastic RSI indicators with the aim of comparing the performance of each indicator and determining the most optimal indicator in maximizing profits. The theories used are Dow Theory, Signaling Theory, and Decision Theory.
The research method used is descriptive quantitative by analyzing close price data on financial sector stocks recorded in DES 2022-2024. The research sample is a total sampling of the existing population. The data collection technique was used with documentation techniques processed with Microsoft Excel and the SPSS Software version 27 tool.
The results show that the MACD indicator shows the highest mean profit of 6.73% compared to the MA of 5.98% and the Stochastic RSI of 0.25%. The standard deviation and range of return produced by the MACD also have a higher profit variability than the other two indicators. And the MACD corresponds to all the theories used. Thus, it can be concluded that the MACD is the best indicator in an effort to maximize profits compared to the MA and Stochastic RSI for the type of risk seeker investor.
