Dinamika Moderasi Beragama di Tengah Keragaman Masyarakat Multikultural Studi di Desa Giyanti Rowokele Kebumen

Abstrak

This paper discusses the dynamics of religious moderation in Giyanti Village, Rowokele, Kebumen, which is a multicultural community with religious diversity. The study aims to analyze the forms of religious moderation, the factors influencing it, and its impact on the harmonization of community life. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The research findings indicate that religious moderation in Giyanti Village is manifested in various forms, such as interfaith dialogue, collaboration in social activities, celebrations of religious holidays, and the influence of local traditions. The study identifies eight main factors that support religious moderation, including social integration, collaboration in social and religious activities, the influence of local traditions, inclusive education, the role of village leaders and religious figures, and external influences and globalization. Despite challenges such as prejudice, fear of dialogue, and extremist ideologies, the positive impacts of religious moderation are reflected in the strengthening of social cohesion, increased tolerance among communities, and the reduction of potential conflicts. Overall, Giyanti Village demonstrates that religious moderation can create harmony within a diverse society, making it a model for other communities in managing diversity and maintaining interfaith harmony.
