TAFSIR ESOTERIS: KAJIAN ATAS KITAB “RUH Al-MA’ANI FI TAFSIR Al-QUR’AN AL-ADZIM” KARYA IMAM AL-ALUSI

Abstract

To reveal the inner (esoteric) meaning of the verses of the Qur'an, a mufassir uses different methods and patterns. Among them is Imam Al-Alusi, a mufassir who comes from the Alus, Kurkh, Baghdad, Iraq area. Ruh Al Ma'ani is a work of his exegesis which not only explains the meaning of the (exoteric) text of the Qur'an but is also full of esoteric meanings of the Qur'an, this of course gives its own color to the method and style of its interpretation. This type of research is library research which has a primary data source of the book of interpretations of Ruh al-Ma'ani and other literature related to the issues in this discussion. From the study that the writer has done, the writer concludes that the method used by Imam al-Alusi in his commentary is tahlili. While the style used in interpreting the Qur'an is isyari.
