This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the implementation of facility and infrastructure maintenance at SMK Negeri 9 Muaro Jambi and its contribution to improving the quality of the learning process. The analysis focuses on several key aspects, namely the actual condition of school facilities, the maintenance mechanisms implemented, and the level of participation of the school community in maintaining the sustainability of the facilities and infrastructure. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and document reviews, this study found that although the school has shown significant progress through the construction of new buildings and improvements to the asset data system, maintenance practices still face challenges such as limited certain facilities, the need for regular repairs, and variations in student awareness in maintaining practical equipment. These findings indicate that facility and infrastructure maintenance is not fully aligned with the demands of vocational education, which requires modern and sustainable practical facilities. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen maintenance policies based on real needs, improve coordination between school units, and involve students more systematically through habituation and character education programs. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of structured, participatory, and adaptive facility and infrastructure maintenance to the development of vocational needs to support the implementation of effective, relevant, and competitive education.
