This study aims to analyze the principal’s strategies for improving learning quality through the development of facilities and infrastructure at SMP Islam Al-Azhar 57 Jambi. Facilities and infrastructure are essential components that support the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process; therefore, their management requires systematic planning, optimal utilization, and continuous supervision. This qualitative research uses a descriptive approach through interviews, observations, documentation, and open-ended questionnaires involving the principal, teachers, facilities staff, and students as primary data sources. The findings indicate that the principal has implemented facility development strategies effectively through needs assessment, procurement of educational resources, the use of learning technology, and routine evaluation, all of which have positively influenced students’ comfort and motivation. However, the research also reveals several obstacles, including limited land, weak internet access, suboptimal library use, and facility damage requiring more intensive maintenance. These findings emphasize the importance of structured facility management, preventive maintenance, and strong collaboration among the school, the foundation, and the school committee. Overall, this study provides theoretical contributions regarding the role of school leadership in facility management and practical benefits for schools in formulating more effective, modern, and sustainable facility development strategies to enhance the quality of the learning process overall.
