Abstrak
Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter toleransi santri di Pondok Pesantren dan kendala yang muncul dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di Pondok Pesantren. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif , penelitian ini dilaksanakan di pondok pesantren al hasani dan subjek penelitian ini yaitu ustadz atau ustadzah, pengurus pondok, dan santri pondok. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, metode wawancara, dan metode dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan sebagai berikut: (1) Pelaksanaan Pendidikan karakter toleransi santri di pondok pesantren menggunakan beberapa tahapan untuk membentuk karakter siswa atau santri yaitu: (a) tahapan organisasi; (b) tahapan interpretasi; (c) tahapan aplikasi. (2) kendala terhadap Pendidikan karakter santri yaitu tidak sedikit santri yang tidak betah, tidak sedikit santri yang membrontak dan sulit dinasehati, adanya santri yang melanggar, dan sulit nya menghendel santri yang agak sulit diatur dan bersikap semaunya.
