Abstract

The purpose of this research is: (1) Knowing the implementation of the Al Qur'an Reading and Writing (BTQ) activity in cultivating the religious character of students in Elementary School 4 Kedawung, (2) Knowing the supporting factors and inhibiting the implementation of the Al Qur'an Reading and Writing (BTQ) activity in cultivating the religious character of students at Elementary School 4 Kedawung. This research uses a qualitative approach. This research location is at Elementary School 4 Kedawung. Subjects in the study were principals, BTQ supervising teachers, class V students, guardians of class V students. The data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and inference. The results of the research show: (1) The implementation of Al Qur'an Reading and Writing activities in cultivating students' religious character is divided into two, namely Al Qur'an Reading and Writing activities and morning habituation. Through BTQ activities and morning habituation, students' religious character values begin to grow and are embedded in students. Because one who is used to it will become a character or character (2) Supporting factors: completeness of infrastructure facilities, teaching preparation, availability of PAI teachers, and support from parents. Inhibiting factors: the availability of BTQ supervisors who are still lacking, student background, differences in student character, and student discipline.
