Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Islamic religious education teachers in moral development, to find out the types of moral development and to find out what various factors can support and hinder the moral development of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 1 Prigi,. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach. The research design uses a descriptive design, so the presence of researchers in the field is very important. The data collection techniques were obtained from observations, interviews and documentation. While data analysis is done by means of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the research that has been examined, it shows that Islamic religious education teachers at SD Negeri 1 Prigi, Regency have played an active role in conducting moral development. There are various types of moral development including morals towards Allah SWT, morals towards Rasulullah, parents, teachers, oneself, society and morals towards the environment. The supporting factors in developing the morals of class V students are the existence of various learning techniques, adequate facilities and infrastructure, collaboration between school members, parents and community leaders. While the inhibiting factors are the lack of class hours, lack of parental attention, information technology and a less conducive student environment.
