Pesantren merupakan satu lembaga pendidikan yang kuat dan kokoh
dalam mengabdikan dirinya untuk memberikan pendidikan bagi bangsa ini,
utamanya pendidikan islam. Kekokohan pesantren, bukan karena ketentraman
atau keadem-ayeman yang ada didalamnya tanpa adanya problem maupun
konflik sama sekali, namun lebih pada kemampuan para pengelolanya (kyai,
ajengan, pengasuh, tuan guru) dalam mengelola problem yang ada menjadi
sesuatu yang bernilai positif sesuai dengan kultur pesantren. Koflik yang
terjadi di pesantren diantaranya konflik internal dan konflik eksternal. Nilai
kultur pesantren dalam meresolusi konflik yaitu: Perkawinan antar pesantren,
kekerabatan, istighosah, haul, mujahadah, akhir sanah. Tahapan resolusi
konflik di pesantren yaitu: Silaturrahmi sebagai proses pencegahan Konflik,
bahtsul masa’il sebagai proses penekanan konflik dan penyekat konflik,
tabayun sebagai pengaturan dan pengelolaan konflik, dan Islah Sebagai Proses
Akhir Penyelesaian Konflik.
