TAFSIR TOLERANSI BERAGAMA DALAM AL-QUR’AN: STUDI KOMPARATIF ATAS TAFSIR JAMI’ AL-BAYAN FI TA’WIL AL-QUR’AN KARYA IBNU JARIR ATH-THABARI DAN FI ZHILAL AL-QUR’AN KARYA SAYYID QUTHB

Abstrak

The general problem raised by researchers is about religious tolerance. This research was conducted by looking for verses of religious tolerance in the Qur'an, compiling verses of tolerance thematically, understanding verse correlation, paying attention to asbabun nuzul to understand the context of the verse, completing the discussion with related literature, books, articles, and so on. with the theme of religious tolerance, analyzing the verses that have been compiled thematically in the book of thematic interpretations of Jami' Al-Bayan fi Ta'wil Al-Qur'an and Fi Zhilalil Al-Qur'an which lastly compares the 2 interpretations and then looks for their relevance in diversity in Indonesia. From this research, it was found that religious tolerance in the Qur'an was put forward by Ath-Tabari who more fully protects our beliefs by worshiping sincerely and not mixing other people's worship and avoiding exploring the teachings of other religions. Whereas Sayyid Qutb agreed with religious tolerance on the basis of the principle that the limits of tolerance between religious communities is a matter of faith which cannot be imposed by force, but every individual must have firm principles and stances.
