Abstrak

This research aims to re-examine the meaning of fi sabilillah Q.S At-Taubah verse 60 regarding the distribution of zakat, with special emphasis on the term ''fi sabilillah'' through the Ma'na Cum Maghza perspective. The verse specifies eight classes of zakat recipients, one of which is 'fi sabilillah' which is traditionally understood as support for the struggle in the way of Allah including jihad. This approach combines literary (explicit meaning) and contextual (implied meaning) interpretations of religious texts to reveal the main message relevant to contemporary conditions. contextual and historical tafsir understanding to dig deeper into the meaning of "fi sabilillah" that can support social welfare, such as education, and humanitarian assistance. This interpretation not only strengthens the awareness of the importance of Islamic social solidarity but also accommodates the needs of modern society in the distribution of zakat.
